How to Write a Fiction Book: More on Social Networking

Networking is super, super important! I can't say that enough!

Here's a list of my favorite places to go to meet other writers:

AbsoluteWrite Forums (I SWEAR by this site. More to come later on why. :-))

Authonomy (Another site I swear by. This is an EXCELLENT place for getting help on your writing and meeting other writers.)

Twitter (use hashtags - when you're writing, add "#amwriting" to your updates and other writers will find you and follow you, thus increasing your visibility. :-))

Facebook

I'll be adding to this list later, I'm sure. :-)

  1. Hi Andrea! I missed you today! Did you come to LTUE? Will you be coming to Los Hermanos at 830 tonight in Linden???

You are so right. I've heard of lots of good stuff about Authonomy. I'll go try it out. *gulp*

I'll try Twitter another time, though! ;)

  3. HI Andrea!!! So missed you at LTUE! I never saw you again... I hope you got to come! And what an awesome post--I so agree! We need networking!!!

PS... Have you checked out valor's website and heard the news about Cleon Skousen's sons feeling inspired to share his last four books with VALOR??? AMAZING huge history in the making! Especially since people believed that once he died a few years ago, there would be nothing else from him... I'm telling you, I'm so in love with Valor right now I'm dying here!!! Eeeh!!!

  4. Elizabeth: Twitter is soooo awesome! Jenni and I met through Authonomy, but Twitter was a HUGE help in our friendship growing and developing! :-)

M.Gray: I'm so excited for the storymakers conference - but especially for boot camp!

Jenni: Candace told me about Cleon's manuscripts. Things are falling into place for Valor! :-)

And I was only able to get to four workshops on Friday - they were well worth the trip down to Provo, however. :-)

I still haven't gotten the hang of twitter, but I do love blogging and facebook.
